About a scale modeling.

About a scale modeling.

What is a scale modeling?
Scale modeling is a hobby art to create/construct a smaller size of an actual real life item such as cars, military vehicles, combat jet air crafts, battleships, robots, and many more. Most of the scale models are static models meaning they cannot move and they usually stays in display cases or in dioramas.
The size of models are written as 1/multiplier numbers (for example: if a model is 1/72 size, it means the actual real life item is 72 times bigger than the model).

These are the process of scale modeling of  plastic kit:
Purchasing the product, opening the box, reading the instruction manual, cutting off parts from the sprues, gluing the parts together using a plastic glue known as cement, painting the parts using airbrush or paint brush, sticking decal stickers, sealing decal stickers, weathering the model, and finally be very proud to show the creation.

Scale modeling has been my hobby since year 2001 when I built the first battleship Yamato and then an aircraft carrier Shinano. I built many models from the year 2004 to 2008 in order to win in a scale modeling competition in Perth Western Australia (named WASMEX). After I successfully won a Gold medal on 24 August 2008, I decided to finish all under-construction models and stopped scale modeling in year 2009. I then started collecting die cast models.

After 8 years of not building a model, I resume my scale modeling hobby again. I have started building the more powerful military units to replace the old and obsolete ones.

About me.

About me

My name is ‘Deni’ (formerly named Deny).
I am currently living and working as an IT Support Officer in Perth Western Australia.
Besides working as an IT,
I am a cosplayer and a scale modeller.

Scale modelling has been my hobby since year 2001 when I built the first battleship Yamato and then an aircraft carrier Shinano. I built many models from the year 2004 to 2008 in order to win in a scale modelling competition in Perth Western Australia (named WASMEX). After I successfully won a Gold medal on 24 August 2008, I decided to finish all under-construction models and stopped scale modelling in year 2009. I then started collecting die cast models.
My main hobby switched to cosplaying from year 2010 to present. I wore many costumes of characters from animes films, eastern and western films, comic/story books, and famous people as well.

After 8 years of not building a model, I resume my scale modelling hobby again. I have started building the more powerful military units to replace the old and obsolete ones.

I also like playing PC war games too and was promoted to very high ranking officers:
  • Commander in Chief (the highest rank in the game) in Command and Conquer Generals.
  • General (the highest rank in the game) in World in Conflict.
  • Mayor General in BattleField 4.
  • Captain in BattleField 2.
